• Mini (F55/F56/F57) (03/2014 -> 02/2018) – vehicle with 40 Pin Quadlock BMW connector, +12V constant power (Klemme 30) through a fused battery supply, without support for PDC, warning tones, and vehicle settings.

General Installation Guidelines

Pre-Installation Verification:

1. Check all control functions and vehicle settings with the original OEM head unit.
2. Remove the original radio (OEM HU) without power.
3. Verify all interface connections for proper wiring – without power.

Connection and Wiring Order:

1. Configure the interface and hardware without power.
2. Check the connection cable configuration to the HU.
3. Connect the cable to the HU according to the aftermarket device instructions.
4. Connect other wires according to the device instructions.
5. Connect the entire installation to the vehicle – connect the main power supply last.
6. Perform software configuration of the interface according to the product description and BDA instructions.
7. Configure the aftermarket HU (steering wheel control, camera, hands-free, antenna power, and more).
8. Perform a functional test of the steering wheel control and vehicle communication.

Changing Interface and HU Cable Configuration:

• Make all changes without power.
• After changes, repeat steps 5 to 8 listed above.

In Case of Interface or Vehicle System Malfunction:

• Reinstall the original OEM HU in the vehicle.
• Start the original unit.
• Initiate the CAN Bus system standby mode.
• Check the HW configuration of the interface.
• After the CAN Bus has calmed, repeat steps 5 to 8 listed above.

When Modifying Connections or Wiring:

• Only professionally trained personnel may perform connections and modifications.
• All changes must be verified for manufacturer approval or impact on vehicle warranty before connection.
