Steering Wheel Control Adapter for DAF ACV SWC 42SDF003-0

Maintain the original steering wheel control functions when replacing the factory radio with a non-original unit. Compare the displayed wiring connectors with those in your vehicle to ensure they match both technically and visually. Before installation, verify if one of the specified original radios was used in the vehicle. Always test the vehicle functions, system settings, and steering wheel control (SWC) before final installation.

Intended for Vehicles

• DAF LF (2018 -> 2021) vehicles with OEM radio, connection via ISO connector, power supply +12V, CAN Bus wiring modification as needed, phone buttons not supported, for 24V systems a 24V > 12V converter max. 10A (30.3520-06) is required.

• To fully activate the adapter, an interconnect cable for the specific radio brand must be ordered.

General Installation Instructions

Verification Before Installation

1. Check all control functions and vehicle settings with the original OEM radio (if installed).
2. Remove the OEM unit without power.
3. Check all interface connections without power.

Connection and Wiring Order

1. Perform all settings and configurations without power.
2. Check the configuration of the connection cable.
3. Connect the cable according to the instructions to the aftermarket radio.
4. Connect other wires according to the device instructions.
5. Connect the main power connection last.
6. Perform software configuration of the interface according to the guidelines in the description and BDA.
7. Configure the aftermarket radio for SWC functions, camera, hands-free, antenna power, etc.
8. Test the steering wheel control function and vehicle communication.

Changing Interface and HU Cable Configuration

• Make changes without power.
• After changes, follow steps 5–8 above.

In Case of Interface or Vehicle System Malfunction

• Return the original OEM unit to the vehicle.
• Turn on the OEM unit.
• Wait for the CAN Bus to sleep.
• Check the hardware configuration of the interface.
• After CAN Bus sleep, follow steps 5–8 above.

When Modifying Wiring or Cable Routing

• Modifications should only be performed by professionally trained personnel.
• Before connecting, verify compliance with manufacturer requirements and impact on warranty.
• Before connecting, verify function by measurement and according to the vehicle's schematic.
