Patch cable for steering wheel adapter 42XMULTILEAD1-0

  • Patch cable for connecting various aftermarket car radios to the steering wheel control adapter (LFB/SWC) of the 42x series.
  • Car radio manufacturers use different types of control inputs: single-wire, two- and multi-wire (Key1/Key2/GND), or input via 3.5 mm jack — the exact variant is always specified in the radio's BDA (manual).
  • All necessary connection wires and DIP switch settings must be made before connecting the interface to the vehicle.
  • For some radios it is necessary to additionally "teach" (remap) the steering wheel button functions in the unit menu according to the radio manufacturer's BDA instructions.
  • Always test proper function before final installation.

Notice

  • Connection: 16-pin connector → 3.5 mm jack / multi-cable output.
  • Compatible with analog and CAN-Bus interfaces 42x(xx)-xxx.
  • Analog pins: black GND, blue Key1/SWC1, gray Key2/SWC2.
  • IR pins: brown IR In/SWC.
  • Analog/IR: 3.5 mm jack.
  • Set DIP switches according to the specific radio's BDA (for analog connection they may differ — see below).
  • Atoto units are not supported.
  • Must be ordered together with the corresponding steering wheel adapter.
  • Information on how steering wheel adapters and their connecting cables work is available separately.
