Steering Wheel Control Adapter for DAF ACV SWC 42SDF002-0

Maintain the original radio control functions from the steering wheel when replacing the original radio with a non-original unit. Compare the displayed wiring connectors with the connectors in your vehicle to ensure they match both technically and visually. Before installation, verify if one of the specified original radios was used in the vehicle. Always test the vehicle functions, system settings, and steering wheel control (SWC) before final assembly.

Designed for Vehicles

• DAF CF (2017 -> 2022) vehicles without OEM radio or radio preparation, connection via 38-pin DAF connector with +12V power from the original wiring, a voltage converter 24V > 12V max. 10A (30.3520-06) is required for vehicles with a +24V electrical system, phone buttons are not supported, DIP switch settings according to BDA.

General Installation Instructions

Pre-Installation Verification

1. Check all control functions and vehicle settings with the original OEM radio (if installed).
2. Perform OEM unit disassembly without power.
3. Check all interface connections without power.

Connection and Wiring Order

1. Perform all settings and configurations without power.
2. Check the configuration of the connecting cable.
3. Connect the cable according to the instructions to the aftermarket radio.
4. Connect other wires according to the device manual.
5. Connect the main power connection last.
6. Perform software configuration of the interface according to the instructions in the description and BDA.
7. Configure the aftermarket radio for SWC functions, camera, handsfree, antenna power, etc.
8. Test the steering wheel control function and vehicle communication.

Changing Interface and HU Cable Configuration

• Make changes without power.
• After changes, follow steps 5–8 above.

In Case of Interface or Vehicle System Failure

• Return the original OEM unit to the vehicle.
• Turn on the OEM unit.
• Wait for CAN Bus to sleep.
• Check the hardware configuration of the interface.
• After CAN Bus sleeps, follow steps 5–8 above.

When Modifying Wiring or Cable Routing

• Modifications can only be performed by professionally trained personnel.
• Before connecting, verify compliance with manufacturer requirements and the impact on warranty.
• Before connecting, verify functionality by measuring and according to the vehicle's schematic.
