Comfortmat Raptor is among the latest materials of the Comfortmat company introduced in 2021 and impresses not only with its high efficiency of up to 30 dB, but especially with its thickness of only 4 mm. It is even the most effective soundproofing material of this thickness today. The Raptor is made up of a sound-insulating layer and a noise-reducing membrane of the latest generation with a thickness of 2 mm, which enables such high efficiency. An important part of the material is the improved assembly adhesive sealant, which enables an even higher adhesive effect at temperatures from -50 to +150 degrees. You can therefore apply Raptor even on highly embossed surfaces with the confidence that it will not peel off on its own throughout the life of the car. Raptor is a membrane material and therefore replaces the second and third layers of soundproofing, making application easier. The material is of course absolutely waterproof and also fulfills a thermal insulation function. Where to apply the Comfortmat Raptor material
Thanks to its thickness of 4 mm, the Comfortmat Raptor is especially intended for areas where there may be a problem with the overall thickness of sound insulation. Most often, this is the space under the rear seats, the bottom of the trunk, and in some commercial vehicles, also the floor. However, thanks to its high efficiency, you can use the material almost anywhere in the car. Raptor is applied as a second layer to an anti-vibration material (e.g. Comfortmat D2 ), which prevents vibrations. Thanks to its multi-layer composition with a noise-reducing membrane, it fully replaces the second and third layers of noise reduction.
