Tesla Model 3: soundproofing that takes comfort to a new level
The Tesla Model 3 underwent soundproofing as part of our Premium Plus package. The factory sound insulation of this model is rather below average, and many owners are therefore disappointed especially by noise from the wheels, aerodynamic noise and body vibrations. In an electric car, where the combustion engine is absent, these disturbing effects are perceived much more intensely than in conventional vehicles. The aim of this project was to raise the car's acoustic comfort to a level that the production solution simply cannot offer.
As part of the Premium Plus package, we completely soundproofed the car using the most advanced Comfortmat materials on all key body surfaces except the roof. We focused on the doors, floor, trunk, inner wheel arches, side panels and other structural parts where vibrations originate and noise spreads into the interior. Each layer was designed with a specific function in mind — suppressing resonances, reducing structural noise and effectively absorbing higher frequencies. In the most exposed areas, such as the floor and wheel arches, we use thick and highly effective materials to achieve the maximum effect. To further increase the effect, we also soundproofed the front and rear wheel arches from the outside of the vehicle. This is precisely where a significant portion of the tire rolling noise is generated, which in the Model 3 becomes very noticeable in the cabin at higher speeds.
The result is a significantly quieter and calmer interior across the entire speed range. Tire noise and aerodynamic hiss are noticeably suppressed, the body feels more compact and rigid, and the ride is overall more refined. The difference is evident not only on highway stretches but also in the city and on rougher surfaces. In an electric car, where nothing masks the ambient noise, such soundproofing has a crucial benefit for everyday use and the overall feeling of the car.

Our basic Standard soundproofing includes soundproofing of all important areas of the car, focusing not only on high efficiency, but also at an affordable price. In particular, we are dedicated to soundproofing the hood, front and rear doors, trunk, floor and front and rear wheel arches from the inside. We use Comfortmat anti-vibration and sound-insulating materials, especially from the Standard model series, thanks to which we are able to reduce the price to a lower level. However, we apply the same materials as in the Premium soundproofing package to the areas most affected by noise. Thanks to this, our basic package already enables highly effective noise reduction, which at the given price has no equivalent on our market.

The Standard Light sound deadening package is intended for all customers who require a very effective sound deadening of the car, but taking into account the low weight of the materials. We soundproof the same areas as the Standard package, i.e. the hood, front and rear doors, floor, trunk and front and rear wheel arches. However, we use different materials that excel in light weight while maintaining high efficiency. In the first and second layers of noise reduction, we apply lightweight anti-vibration and sound-insulating materials, which allow for 30 percent lower weight and at the same time only slightly lower efficiency than with the Standard package. Compared to our most efficient Expert and Expert Plus packages, this is a weight reduction of up to 50 percent.

Our most popular Premium sound deadening package includes almost complete vehicle sound deadening in addition to the roof. And as the name of the package suggests, we work exclusively with top-quality Comfortmat materials from the Premium model range, and in the areas most affected by noise and vibration, we use materials from the top Expert range. Specifically, as part of this package, we soundproof the hood, front and rear doors, floor, luggage compartment, front and rear wheel arches from the inside and the fifth door. Compared to the Standard package, we therefore not only choose significantly more effective anti-vibration and sound-insulating materials, but also soundproof the fifth door. The result is a rapid reduction in noise and an acceptable weight of the materials.

The Expert sound deadening package already includes complete vehicle sound deadening. Specifically, as part of this package, we focus on the hood, roof, torpedo, front, rear and fifth doors, floor, luggage compartment and on the front and rear wheel arches from the inside of the car. We choose the same anti-vibration and soundproofing materials as with the Premium sound deadening package, but we also pay attention to the roof and the torpedo. This will enable comprehensive soundproofing without the risk of increased noise in places where additional sound insulation has not been carried out. With the Expert soundproofing package, you get not only rapid noise reduction, but also thermal insulation, and is therefore the most recommended solution if the car is not equipped with a sunroof or a panoramic roof.
