Audi Q7 - soundproofing
Soundproofing for the latest-generation Audi Q7. A truly premium and prestigious vehicle with a spacious interior and state-of-the-art technologies. Under the hood is a powerful V6 diesel, an all-wheel-drive gearbox, and the list of standard and optional equipment is almost endless; ride comfort is excellent both off-road and on asphalt. At normal city speeds the factory sound insulation may seem sufficient, but that changes if you put your foot down. Even in a car like this unpleasant noise from large wheels, the engine and aerodynamic noise quickly becomes noticeable. And that's of course undesirable. That's why we're here — to eliminate all these shortcomings. The car is almost new and still under warranty, which is no problem at all and nothing changes after our modification. We already have extensive experience with the Audi Q7 and know exactly where to work and what this beauty needs. The solution is a completely new sound insulation using professional anti-vibration and acoustic materials from Comfortmat, and the owner agreed to our Premium Plus soundproofing package. We focused on all the vehicle's key areas: specifically the front, rear and tailgate, the floor, the trunk, the inner sides of the front and rear wheel arches, and the hood. Beyond the package we also soundproofed the dashboard, which in Audi cars can be very effective at reducing engine noise. In the Plus variant we also use more effective materials from the top Expert line, which allow at least a twofold reduction of interior noise even in this premium model. Four of our experienced technicians worked on this very demanding installation simultaneously; they can complete such a complex fitment within one working day. For a vehicle this large and installation-intensive the fitting time is increased compared to ordinary cars so we can work with maximum care. Our basic Standard soundproofing includes soundproofing of all important areas of the car, focusing not only on high efficiency, but also at an affordable price. In particular, we are dedicated to soundproofing the hood, front and rear doors, trunk, floor and front and rear wheel arches from the inside. We use Comfortmat anti-vibration and sound-insulating materials, especially from the Standard model series, thanks to which we are able to reduce the price to a lower level. However, we apply the same materials as in the Premium soundproofing package to the areas most affected by noise. Thanks to this, our basic package already enables highly effective noise reduction, which at the given price has no equivalent on our market.

The Standard Light sound deadening package is intended for all customers who require a very effective sound deadening of the car, but taking into account the low weight of the materials. We soundproof the same areas as the Standard package, i.e. the hood, front and rear doors, floor, trunk and front and rear wheel arches. However, we use different materials that excel in light weight while maintaining high efficiency. In the first and second layers of noise reduction, we apply lightweight anti-vibration and sound-insulating materials, which allow for 30 percent lower weight and at the same time only slightly lower efficiency than with the Standard package. Compared to our most efficient Expert and Expert Plus packages, this is a weight reduction of up to 50 percent.

Our most popular Premium sound deadening package includes almost complete vehicle sound deadening in addition to the roof. And as the name of the package suggests, we work exclusively with top-quality Comfortmat materials from the Premium model range, and in the areas most affected by noise and vibration, we use materials from the top Expert range. Specifically, as part of this package, we soundproof the hood, front and rear doors, floor, luggage compartment, front and rear wheel arches from the inside and the fifth door. Compared to the Standard package, we therefore not only choose significantly more effective anti-vibration and sound-insulating materials, but also soundproof the fifth door. The result is a rapid reduction in noise and an acceptable weight of the materials.

The Expert sound deadening package already includes complete vehicle sound deadening. Specifically, as part of this package, we focus on the hood, roof, torpedo, front, rear and fifth doors, floor, luggage compartment and on the front and rear wheel arches from the inside of the car. We choose the same anti-vibration and soundproofing materials as with the Premium sound deadening package, but we also pay attention to the roof and the torpedo. This will enable comprehensive soundproofing without the risk of increased noise in places where additional sound insulation has not been carried out. With the Expert soundproofing package, you get not only rapid noise reduction, but also thermal insulation, and is therefore the most recommended solution if the car is not equipped with a sunroof or a panoramic roof.
