Toyota Proace – soundproofing and speaker replacement
The Toyota Proace is among practical commercial vehicles that stand out primarily for their versatility and usefulness. As with most vehicles in this category, the manufacturer practically does not address soundproofing, which becomes very noticeable during driving. Rolling noise from the wheels, vibrations from the suspension and aerodynamic noise are transmitted into the interior, especially from the floor, wheel arches and large body panels. On longer journeys the overall acoustic comfort can therefore be significantly limited.
The customer therefore chose our second most effective package, Expert Plus, which is focused on a significant reduction of interior noise. As part of the installation we applied multi-layer soundproofing using top Comfortmat materials and concentrated on comprehensive treatment of the vehicle's key areas. The floor, all doors, wheel arches, the rear section, the dashboard and the roof were soundproofed. A crucial role was played by the use of Comfortmat Extreme and Titan materials on the floor and wheel arches, which today represent the most effective solution on the market for eliminating noise from wheels and suspension. The implementation also included replacing the factory speakers, which in these vehicles often do not meet the demands for quality listening. Thanks to this, we managed not only to reduce cabin noise but also to substantially improve the overall sound performance of the audio system.
The installation took place during one working day and was performed by our experienced four-person team. The result is a noticeably quieter and more refined interior that elevates travel comfort to a completely different level. Based on our measurements, this specification delivers an average noise reduction of more than 4 dB, which in real operation means more than a twofold reduction in perceived noise compared to the original state.

Our basic Standard soundproofing includes soundproofing of all important areas of the car, focusing not only on high efficiency, but also at an affordable price. In particular, we are dedicated to soundproofing the hood, front and rear doors, trunk, floor and front and rear wheel arches from the inside. We use Comfortmat anti-vibration and sound-insulating materials, especially from the Standard model series, thanks to which we are able to reduce the price to a lower level. However, we apply the same materials as in the Premium soundproofing package to the areas most affected by noise. Thanks to this, our basic package already enables highly effective noise reduction, which at the given price has no equivalent on our market.

The Standard Light sound deadening package is intended for all customers who require a very effective sound deadening of the car, but taking into account the low weight of the materials. We soundproof the same areas as the Standard package, i.e. the hood, front and rear doors, floor, trunk and front and rear wheel arches. However, we use different materials that excel in light weight while maintaining high efficiency. In the first and second layers of noise reduction, we apply lightweight anti-vibration and sound-insulating materials, which allow for 30 percent lower weight and at the same time only slightly lower efficiency than with the Standard package. Compared to our most efficient Expert and Expert Plus packages, this is a weight reduction of up to 50 percent.

Our most popular Premium sound deadening package includes almost complete vehicle sound deadening in addition to the roof. And as the name of the package suggests, we work exclusively with top-quality Comfortmat materials from the Premium model range, and in the areas most affected by noise and vibration, we use materials from the top Expert range. Specifically, as part of this package, we soundproof the hood, front and rear doors, floor, luggage compartment, front and rear wheel arches from the inside and the fifth door. Compared to the Standard package, we therefore not only choose significantly more effective anti-vibration and sound-insulating materials, but also soundproof the fifth door. The result is a rapid reduction in noise and an acceptable weight of the materials.

The Expert sound deadening package already includes complete vehicle sound deadening. Specifically, as part of this package, we focus on the hood, roof, torpedo, front, rear and fifth doors, floor, luggage compartment and on the front and rear wheel arches from the inside of the car. We choose the same anti-vibration and soundproofing materials as with the Premium sound deadening package, but we also pay attention to the roof and the torpedo. This will enable comprehensive soundproofing without the risk of increased noise in places where additional sound insulation has not been carried out. With the Expert soundproofing package, you get not only rapid noise reduction, but also thermal insulation, and is therefore the most recommended solution if the car is not equipped with a sunroof or a panoramic roof.
