Maintain the original radio control functions from the steering wheel when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket unit. CAN Bus Information

Connectors and Power:

Connector: 40-pin Quadlock Opel.

Settings:

Check DIP switches on the aftermarket radio (HU).

Vehicle Compatibility:

Vehicles with original radio CD30 / CD30MP / CDC40 / CD50 / CD70 / DVD90.
For Opel Corsa D models, vehicle settings via wiper stalk are supported.
For some Corsa D vehicles, there may be interface failure after extended use – solution in manual (alternative CAN signal pickup).

Diagnostic LED Indication:

Blue flashing: searching for CAN Bus signal.
Blue steady: CAN Bus active.
Red steady: active +12 V ignition current.

Important Additional Information

Designed for aftermarket radios by Sony, Kenwood, Panasonic, JVC, Pioneer, Blaupunkt, Clarion, Alpine, LG, Zenec, Becker.
To fully activate the adapter, an interconnect cable for the specific radio brand is required.

General Installation Guidelines

Verification Before Assembly:

Check all control functions and vehicle settings with the original OEM head unit.
Disconnect the original radio (OEM HU) without power.
Check all interface connections to ensure they are correctly connected – without power.

Connection and Wiring Order:

Check interface settings and HW configuration – without power.
Check connection cable configuration to HU – without power.
Connect the cable to the HU according to the aftermarket device manual.
Connect other wires according to the device manual.
Link the entire installation with the vehicle – connect the main power connection last.
Perform software configuration of the interface according to product description or manual.
Configure the aftermarket HU (e.g., steering wheel control, camera, handsfree, antenna power).
Conduct a functional test of steering wheel control and vehicle communication.

Changing Interface and HU Cable Configuration:

Make all changes without power.
Repeat steps 5 to 8 above.

In Case of Interface or Vehicle System Malfunction:

Reinstall the original OEM HU.
Run the original unit.
Initiate CAN Bus system shutdown.
Check HW configuration of the interface.
After CAN Bus shutdown, repeat steps 5 and 6 above.
