Meguiar’s 3" Soft Buff DA Backing Plate (DBP3) is a professional backing plate intended for use with dual-action (DA) polishers, ensuring stable and efficient transfer of force from the polisher to the pad. With a diameter of 76 mm it is ideal for correcting small panels or hard-to-reach areas. The construction is designed to distribute pressure evenly, optimize pad contact with the bodywork even on curved sections, and allow quick pad attachment using the micro hook & loop system. The backing plate is compatible with common DA polishers with a 5/16" shaft and facilitates precise and safe work during paint restoration or polishing.

Instructions for use

Before use, ensure the polisher is switched off and disconnected from power.
Attach the DBP3 backing plate to the polisher shaft with a 5/16" thread and tighten securely.
Mount a compatible pad (e.g., foam, microfiber) onto the backing plate using the Velcro system.
Set the appropriate polisher speed according to the recommendations of the pad/compound manufacturer.
Work panel by panel, maintaining even movement without overheating the surface.
After finishing a panel, remove the backing plate, clean it of compound or dust residues and prepare it for the next use.
Store in a dry, clean place and away from extreme temperatures.
