Skoda Enyaq – discreet installation and affordable sound improvement

The Škoda Enyaq in its base configuration offers solid comfort and modern technology, but the factory sound system remains a major weakness of the car. The sound lacks dynamics, depth and detail and tends to distort at higher volumes. The aim of this installation was therefore to achieve a noticeable improvement in sound quality, with the condition that the installation be completely hidden so that the luggage compartment remains fully usable. The budget was to stay within an affordable price range around 60,000 CZK.

With electric cars it is always necessary to pay attention to the most efficient amplifier possible, so we chose the Helix M Four DSP class D model with high efficiency. Thanks to its compact dimensions we managed to place the amplifier into the double floor of the trunk together with an active Audison subwoofer. This fulfilled the customer's wish—to give the system power and dynamics without sacrificing a single liter of trunk space. As the main speakers we selected the Italian Quartorigo Overture, which in combination with the chosen amplifier reveal all their qualities—clean and detailed performance, natural mids and energetic bass. The speakers remained in the factory positions, so their installation is completely inconspicuous and does not affect the interior design.

Finally we performed detailed tuning of the DSP processor integrated in the Helix amplifier, optimizing time alignment, crossover frequencies and equalization of individual bands. Thanks to this we achieved balanced and precise sound throughout the interior, which is several classes above the stock condition.
