Mercedes-Benz GLE 63 AMG - replacement of the factory Burmester audio system

Replacement of the factory Burmester audio system in a Mercedes-Benz GLE AMG. From this sport-oriented SUV with a star on the hood you expect not only top performance and luxurious execution but also a matching musical experience. The premium Burmester system that Mercedes offers as an option often fails to meet the expectations of more demanding listeners – the sound can be flat, lacking in detail and dynamics, and the bass is often weak. That is why the owner of this GLE AMG approached us with a request to improve the sound quality.

After an initial consultation we jointly selected top OEM Morel Reference components, known for their natural and musical character. Israeli manufacturer Morel ranks among the world's leaders in high-end audio and their solutions are popular even among owners of luxury cars. An advantage is that these Morel speakers are designed specifically for particular models, so they preserve the original design, mounts, and connectors – installation therefore proceeds in a plug & play manner without altering the car's original wiring.

For this installation we focused on replacing the front speakers and subwoofers, since these are the key components that determine sound quality. We connected the new three-way system to a powerful 6-channel Helix amplifier with an integrated DSP processor, which allows detailed sound tuning exactly according to the acoustic properties of this Mercedes' interior. 

After careful installation we conducted frequency response measurements and precise DSP tuning, resulting in balanced, detailed, and dynamic sound that elevates the musical experience in the Mercedes GLE AMG by several levels. The result is a sound system that fully matches the character of the vehicle and the demands of a discerning client.
