Retain the original steering-wheel radio control functions when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket unit. Depending on the vehicle equipment, range of functions and the software of the newly installed radio, some functions may be limited or replaced by others. Compare the shown wiring connectors with the connectors in your vehicle and make sure they match both technically and visually. Check whether one of the listed OEM radios was originally installed. Before final installation verify vehicle functions, system settings and correct operation of the steering wheel controls (SWC).

Special notes:

  • Vehicles without 18-pin CN700 LAN connector.
  • Vehicles with 18-pin LAN connector: before connecting verify connector CN800 – pin 6: SWC GND, pin 7: SWC 1, pin 8: SWC 2.

Diagnostic LED indicators:

  • Blue illumination: interface active, +12 V ignition power present.
  • Red illumination: steering wheel button function detected.

Important additional information

  • Compatible with LFB interfaces: Lexus/Toyota 10Pin/6Pin/20Pin analog and Toyota 10Pin/6Pin/28Pin analog.
  • To fully activate the adapter you must order the connecting cable for the specific radio brand.

General installation instructions

Checks before installation:

  1. Check all steering controls and vehicle settings with the original OEM head unit installed.
  2. Disconnect the original radio (OEM HU) with power off.
  3. Check all interface connections to ensure they are correctly connected – with power off.

Connections and wiring sequence:

  1. Check the interface settings and hardware configuration – with power off.
  2. Check the configuration of the connection cable to the HU – with power off.
  3. Connect the cable to the HU according to the aftermarket device manual.
  4. Connect the remaining wires according to the device manual.
  5. Connect the entire installation to the vehicle – connect the main power last.
  6. Perform the software configuration of the interface according to the product description or manual.
  7. Configure the aftermarket HU (e.g. steering wheel control, camera, handsfree, antenna power).
  8. Perform a function test of the steering wheel controls and vehicle communication.

Changing interface configuration and HU cable:

  • Make all changes with power off.
  • Repeat steps 5 to 8 listed above.

If the interface or vehicle system fails:

  • Reinstall the original OEM HU.
  • Start the original unit.
  • Trigger CAN Bus shutdown.
  • Check the hardware configuration of the interface.
  • After CAN Bus shutdown repeat steps 5 and 6 listed above.

When modifying wiring or cable routing:

  • Connections and modifications may only be performed by professionally trained personnel.
  • All changes must be verified in terms of manufacturer approval or impact on vehicle warranty before connection.
  • All modifications must be verified by measurement and comparison with the vehicle wiring diagram before connection.
