Connectors and Power Supply:

Connection:

• SWC speaker PDC connection 42cxpdc (item image 4): Pin 5: 42cxpdc red, Pin 11: 42cxpdc black.

Settings:

• Check DIP switches on the aftermarket radio (HU).

• Vehicles with OEM HU Clarion MQ-RD6 monochrome display and central rotary controller.

• Blue flashing: searching for CAN Bus signal.

• Red steady: active +12 V ignition power.

Important Additional Information

• Designed for aftermarket radios Sony, Kenwood, Panasonic, JVC, Pioneer, Blaupunkt, Clarion, Alpine, LG, Zenec, Becker.
• To fully activate the adapter, an interface cable for the specific radio brand is required.

General Installation Guidelines

Pre-Installation Verification:

1. Check all control functions and vehicle settings with the original OEM head unit.
2. Disconnect the original radio (OEM HU) without power.
3. Check all interface connections to ensure they are properly connected - without power.

Connection and Installation Order:

1. Check the interface settings and hardware configuration - without power.
2. Check the connection cable configuration to the HU - without power.
3. Connect the cable to the HU as per the aftermarket device instructions.
4. Connect other wires according to the device instructions.
5. Connect the entire installation to the vehicle - main power connection should be the last.
6. Perform software configuration of the interface as per product description or manual.
7. Configure the aftermarket HU (e.g., steering wheel control, camera, hands-free, antenna power).
8. Perform a functional test of the steering wheel control and vehicle communication.

Changing Interface and HU Cable Configuration:

• Make all changes without power.
• Repeat steps 5 to 8 as mentioned above.

In Case of Interface or Vehicle System Malfunction:

• Reinstall the original OEM HU.
• Start the original unit.
• Trigger CAN Bus system shutdown.
• Check the interface HW configuration.
• After CAN Bus shutdown, repeat steps 5 and 6 as mentioned above.

When Modifying Connections or Wiring:

• Connections and modifications should only be performed by professionally trained personnel.
• All changes must be verified for manufacturer approval or impact on vehicle warranty before connecting.
• All modifications must be verified by measurement and comparison with the vehicle's wiring diagram before connecting.
