Škoda Octavia 4 RS – advanced audio system with Audison Voce II speakers

The fourth-generation Škoda Octavia in the sporty RS version is the ideal combination of a family car and sporty character. In this case it also comes in an eye-catching yellow-green color that perfectly highlights its attributes. And just like its looks and performance, the sound system deserved an upgrade to a completely different level. That’s what we’re here for — to design a high-quality audio system for this beauty.

The foundation of the audio system became the Audison Voce II speakers — an updated line that has quickly earned the respect of professionals and of course ours. Their construction and sonic philosophy elevate listening to audiophile standards, making them the ideal basis for this installation. Power is provided by a Crescendo class AB analog amplifier, and the bass is handled by an ESB Tremila subwoofer powered by a Morel monoblock. All amplifiers and the separate Helix DSP processor were placed under the seats, so they remain perfectly hidden. This installation demonstrates that high-quality components can be installed without altering the interior. And this is where the major advantage shows — a separate analog amplifier, a monoblock and an external DSP processor push reproduction quality much further than a multichannel amplifier with integrated DSP. While the latter simplifies installation, it comes with many compromises in terms of sound. 

Finally, detailed tuning was performed based on frequency response measurements of the speakers and subsequent equalization. Thanks to this we achieved a sound that is balanced, detailed and spatially accurate, with firm bass and finely rendered highs. The Octavia RS therefore offers not only a sporty driving experience but also a high-level musical performance with sound tailored to the car and the listener — all discreetly within the original interior.
