Mini John Cooper Works GP - Morel hi-end sound system

Mini John Cooper Works GP and an audio system for the most demanding customers. This beast with 306 horsepower can now boast not only a brutal engine and exhaust sound, but also a luxurious audio setup. Specifically, a combination of speakers from Israeli sound masters Morel and a top eight-channel amplifier with an Audison DSP processor. Added to that are subwoofers from the same manufacturer and, of course, an active wiring configuration. The result can be nothing other than an absolute sonic delicacy. This car was equipped with a mix of the basic audio system and the optional BMW Hi‑Fi Sound System, which we know well from BMW vehicles. It's a mix because, although the car had the factory amplifier, the speakers and subwoofers were from the basic audio package—meaning no tweeters and only 165 mm subwoofers under the seat. Such audio is far from matching the price of BMW and Mini models, and very often we replace this system with an OEM solution from the Italian manufacturer Audison. In this installation we went even further and from Audison we kept only the amplifier, the subwoofers and especially their "smart" wiring. For this boosted Mini we chose Morel speakers from the third-highest Morel Hybrid range. The speakers deliver breathtaking and almost perfect sound with detailed tweeters in which you'll hear everything the musician intended. We are always literally surprised how such small speakers with a midwoofer diameter of only 100 mm can produce such dynamic and incredibly musical sound—something only Morel seems to achieve. The result is an audio system that will raise the hairs on your arms within seconds of listening and cause a small musical orgasm. View products >Hide products >
