BMW 4 (F32) - Audison sound system (Harman Kardon upgrade)

Sound system for a BMW 4 (F32) with factory Harman Kardon equipment. BMW owners who are not satisfied with the sound of the Harman Kardon speakers have few upgrade options, because the presence of optical cables makes it impossible to connect another amplifier without complex and expensive rewiring. The solution is therefore to replace the speakers and subwoofers and fully connect them to the existing Harman Kardon amplifier. This option has proven itself to us several times, because the original Harman amplifier is not bad at all and provides sufficient power for the speakers. As usual, we chose Audison speakers and subwoofers, which have the same shape, size and connectors as the factory units and represent the most interesting OEM-compatible option. The swap is therefore easy and requires no intervention in the original electrical system. Specifically, we replaced the speakers in the front doors, in the rear side, the center speaker and two subwoofers under the seats. And what change can you expect compared to the optional Harman Kardon sound system? Audison speakers not only offer higher sound quality than the Harman Kardon speakers, they also have higher sensitivity, which positively affects power and distortion at the highest volumes. The original Harman amplifier suits the Audison speakers perfectly, resulting not only in a noticeably more detailed and refined sound with clearer highs, but also in greater power with precise and more substantial bass. The Harman Kardon package also allows advanced sound tuning on the head unit, so we get an even better output from the Audison speakers than, for example, from the basic audio system. This car is therefore a perfect example that simply replacing the speakers is enough to achieve incomparably better sound for a purchase price that is reasonable relative to the vehicle's price.View products >Hide products >
