ADBL Clay Bar Violet
A medium-hard clay bar represents an ideal way to safely and deeply clean the paint and glass surfaces of your vehicle. It effectively removes embedded contaminants that cannot be washed away with ordinary washing, leaving the surface perfectly smooth. It is a great choice for preparing paint before applying wax, sealant or liquid wipers.
Decontamination of paint using clay is a key step in vehicle care if you want to achieve a truly clean and smooth surface. This medium-hard clay can extract deeply embedded contaminants from the paint pores, such as fallout rust, asphalt, tree resin or mineral deposits from hard water. These contaminants damage the paint over time and reduce the effectiveness of protective layers.
Thanks to its high plasticity, the product is very easy to work with and can be shaped as needed. It is designed to be maximally gentle on the paint while maintaining high efficiency in capturing contaminants. Regularly folding the clay during work ensures that you always work with a clean section, which minimizes the risk of creating minor scratches.
Using this clay significantly improves the bond of subsequent protective layers (waxes, sealants) to the body surface, thereby extending their durability and increasing overall gloss. Besides paint, it is also a great helper when cleaning auto glass, where it removes dried water spots and other contaminants that can cause wiper stuttering.

How to use
- Before using the clay itself, wash the car thoroughly with car shampoo.
- Work in the shade, panels must be cool to the touch and avoid working in excessive heat.
- Shape a pebble-sized patty from the clay.
- Briefly soak the clay in lukewarm or warm water before use to soften it.
- Spray a sufficient amount of lubricant on the panel, for example ADBL Slippy.
- Gently move the clay back and forth over the lubricated area, never work on dry paint.
- At the beginning of the process you may hear a faint noise or squeak of the contamination, which disappears as you clean.
- Regularly check the smoothness of the paint with your fingertips.
- After cleaning, wipe the panel with a microfiber towel using a detailer.
- Frequently fold the clay during work so that the contaminants are hidden inside and you work with a clean surface.
- One package is sufficient to decontaminate at least 8 to 10 vehicles depending on the level of contamination.
- Always adjust the hardness of the clay to the condition of the paint and the degree of contamination.
- For storage in the designated container, cover the clay with water with added shampoo to roughly one third of the container height.
