How to use
- Before you start, watch Gyeon's official YouTube video.
- Before using the clay, wash the car thoroughly with car shampoo.
- Wash the car in the shade and work with the clay in the shade as well; it should not be too hot.
- Body panels must be cool to the touch.
- Make a small flat ball of clay (pebble shape).
- Briefly wet the clay bar in lukewarm water before use.
- On the panel you want to clay, spray a small amount of lubricant and then gently move the clay back and forth on the moistened area. Never work with the clay dry!
- At the start of claying you may hear contamination as a faint rustling or squeaking sound that gradually disappears.
- After decontamination check with your fingertips to ensure all contamination has been removed.
- The paint must be completely smooth.
- Once you are confident the paint is clean, dry the panel using a detailer and a long-pile microfiber towel (e.g. Purestar Grass Buffing Towel).
- On the clay itself you may see black or brown traces of contamination, and that is exactly what you want to see.
- Frequently fold the clay so the dirt stays inside and only clean clay is exposed for further use.
