How to Care for Polishing Pads

• Caring for polishing pads is very important for their longevity and future polishing abilities.
• The temperature of the pad itself is crucial for its lifespan during use, as it can heat up to high temperatures while polishing.
• If you polish for an extended period and frequently overheat the pad, it significantly shortens its lifespan.
• Monitor the temperature and let the pad cool down if it overheats.
• High temperatures damage both the foam and the adhesive of the pad.
• The polishing pad needs frequent cleaning during the polishing process, or it will stop functioning effectively.
• Once the pad is clogged with polishing paste, it needs attention.
• You can use a medium-soft brush and set the polisher to a lower speed, then brush out the old paste. Hold the brush in hand and let the polisher spin the pad.
• Be careful not to throw used paste onto the polished car paint during rotary cleaning.
• If you own an air compressor, you can use it to blow out the pad in the same way while the polisher is running.
• After successful machine polishing, prepare the pad for future use.
• We recommend washing the polishing pad in a washing machine at 40°C using a detergent for microfiber.
• Never wash pads together with towels or cloths!
• Do not tumble dry pads; let them air dry on a drying towel with the polishing side down.
• If a washing machine is unavailable, wash pads by hand using an APC cleaner diluted in a 1:6 ratio.
• Store polishing pads in a dry place, away from direct sunlight, ideally in a closed, clean plastic box.
