These features make the R-DA pads a unique series with a wide range of applications. The good quality of the foam and precise workmanship translate into high durability. How to Care for Polishing Pads
- Caring for polishing pads is crucial for their longevity and future polishing capabilities.
- During use, the temperature of the pad is very important for its lifespan, as it can heat up to high temperatures when polishing paint.
- If you polish the paint for a long time and frequently overheat the pad, you significantly shorten its lifespan.
- Therefore, monitor the temperature, and if the pad is overheated, let it cool down for a while.
- High temperatures affect both the foam and the adhesive of the pad.
- The polishing pad needs to be cleaned frequently during the polishing process; otherwise, it will stop functioning effectively.
- Once the pad is clogged with polishing paste, it needs to be addressed.
- You can use a medium-soft brush and set the polisher to lower speeds to brush away the old paste. Simply hold the brush in your hand and let the polisher rotate the pad.
- Be careful not to throw used paste onto the polished car paint during rotary cleaning.
- If you own an air compressor, you can use it to blow out the pad in the same way while the polisher is running.
- After successful machine polishing, the pad also needs to be prepared for future use.
- We recommend washing the polishing pad in a washing machine at 40°C using a detergent designed for microfiber.
- Never wash pads together with towels or cloths!
- After washing, do not put the pads in a dryer; let them air dry on a towel with the polishing side down.
- If you don't have access to a washing machine, you can wash the pads by hand using an APC cleaner, diluted at a ratio of 1:6.
- Polishing pads should be stored in a dry place away from direct sunlight, ideally in a closed clean plastic box.
