Gladen expands the Zeta series with top-of-the-line subwoofers

The Zeta series from Gladen is among the best that this popular German manufacturer has to offer today. It is based on the philosophy of the top-of-the-line Aerospace series and is built on maximum technical precision, low distortion, and the ability to reproduce music with exceptional accuracy and dynamics. Until now, the Zeta series has been associated primarily with speakers that have quickly gained a reputation for being exceptionally accurate and musical components. Now, however, Gladen is extending this concept to the lowest frequencies and introducing two new subwoofers – the Zeta 08 and Zeta 10.

Two new subwoofers for sound quality applications

Zeta subwoofers were not designed as "SPL" effect transducers, but as a full-fledged part of a hi-end system. The goal of development was deep, accurate, and controlled bass that forms a stable foundation for sound without overpowering the midrange or disrupting the naturalness of vocals and instruments. Both models therefore emphasize linear behavior, motor stability, and long-term operational reliability, even in more compact enclosures.

The Gladen Zeta 08 is a compact subwoofer with a 200 mm (8") diaphragm, optimized for applications with limited space where high-quality bass performance is still required. It uses a long-throw motor system with an aerodynamically optimized 2" voice coil and a rigid aluminum cone that ensures clean piston motion throughout the entire operating range. A stabilized magnetic field and carefully tuned mechanical parameters enable low distortion and high control even at higher excitations. As a result, the Zeta 08 performs excellently in small-volume enclosed enclosures and is the ideal choice for sound quality installations focused on accuracy and musicality.

The Gladen Zeta 10 is a more powerful version designed for demanding applications where greater emphasis is placed on load capacity and dynamic reserve. It is a 25 cm subwoofer with a massive motor system, large magnet, and four-layer 2" voice coil. Compared to the smaller model, it uses two integrated aluminum shorting rings that stabilize the magnetic field at high excitations and significantly reduce nonlinear distortion at higher volumes. The newly optimized diaphragm suspension ensures stable guidance during long strokes, while the reinforced aluminum basket with extensive ventilation minimizes air compression and audible turbulence. The result is a subwoofer that maintains control, clarity, and calm performance even under high loads.

Both subwoofers are equipped with dual 2 Ohm voice coils, which provides high flexibility in circuit design and allows for ideal combination with powerful Gladen and Mosconi amplifiers. The parameters of the drivers are designed so that they can be used in both closed and bass reflex enclosures, always with an emphasis on balanced and musical bass reproduction.

The addition of the Zeta 08 and Zeta 10 subwoofers to the Zeta series creates a comprehensive concept that now covers the entire audible range. For demanding listeners and premium installations, Gladen offers a complete solution where the individual components not only share the same technological philosophy, but also work together acoustically as a single unit. The Zeta series thus reaffirms its position as the technological leader of the Gladen brand and clearly demonstrates that even low frequencies can be handled with maximum precision and respect for the music.
