Toyota Camry - manufacturing of a sound box and installation of a Morel Ultimo front subwoofer

The Toyota Camry previously underwent an advanced audio installation with us, and the owner of this car has now decided to take the entire system to the next level. We manufactured an enclosure for the front Morel Ultimo subwoofer, which in 2024 won the EISA award as Best Subwoofer. Morel Ultimo is a subwoofer designed for maximally precise and fast bass, making it an ideal choice for front installation in a car. It features a very shallow mounting depth and a required volume of just 14 l in a sealed enclosure, which allows its use even in places where a conventional subwoofer could not be installed. Thanks to its construction it offers excellent cone control, high clarity of the bass register and minimal distortion even at higher loads.

We designed and manufactured the enclosure precisely to fit the space under the dashboard, where we achieved the exact prescribed volume of 14 l. To maximally protect the subwoofer from mechanical damage while not limiting its function, we made a special protective cover with acoustically transparent fabric. It is designed so that the front passenger can safely rest their feet on it without risking damage to the subwoofer or negatively affecting the sound. As visible in the photos, even a long-legged passenger need not feel significant restriction in this space.

And what does such a solution bring in terms of sound? The front subwoofer here is not only intended to supplement the bass but to ensure its correct localization and impact. Thanks to its design it responds instantly, without delay, and perfectly integrates with both the front midbasses and the rear subwoofer in the trunk. The result is precise and readable kicks, full-bodied drums and deep electronic tones that sound exactly where they should — up front, at the center of the soundstage. This detail fundamentally changes the character of the entire system and elevates listening from good sound to a true musical experience.
