Retain the original steering-wheel radio controls when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket unit. Depending on vehicle equipment, available functions and the software of the newly installed radio, some functions may be limited or replaced by others. Compare the displayed wiring connectors with the connectors in your vehicle and make sure they match both technically and visually. Check whether any of the listed OEM radios were originally installed. Before final installation verify vehicle functionality, system settings and correct operation of the steering wheel control (SWC).

CAN Bus information

Connectors and power supply:

  • Connectors: 20 Pin / 32 Pin Nissan.
  • OEM steering wheel control connection: 3.5 mm jack or loose wire to the SWC input of the head unit.

Settings:

  • DIP switch settings according to the aftermarket unit manufacturer (see BDA).

Vehicle compatibility:

  • Compatible with OEM units Visteon Anatel RO13-X07 2-DIN and Browse 1-DIN.
  • Compatible with vehicles without OEM navigation.
  • Vehicle settings supported.

Special cases and warnings:

  • Vehicles from 2018: connect the red wire +12V (terminal 15) to the fuse box if required.
  • Re-imported vehicles or vehicles with different software may have limited functionality.
  • For vehicles with OEM parking sensors (PDC), use an additional interface (item: 42cxpdc-trafic3-1).

Important additional information

  • Compatible with aftermarket head units with analog steering wheel control input.
  • For full activation of the adapter, a brand-specific connection cable for the head unit must be ordered.

General installation instructions

Verification before installation:

  1. Check all control functions and vehicle settings with the OEM HU.
  2. Disconnect the original radio (OEM HU) without power.
  3. Check all interface connections without power.

Connection and installation sequence:

  1. Set and check the HW configuration of the interface without power.
  2. Check the configuration of the HU connection cable without power.
  3. Connect the cable to the HU according to the aftermarket device manual.
  4. Connect the remaining wires according to the device manual.
  5. Connect the entire installation to the vehicle – connect the main power supply last.
  6. Perform the software configuration of the interface according to the product description or manual.
  7. Configure the aftermarket HU (steering wheel control, camera, handsfree, antenna power supply, etc.).
  8. Perform a functional test of the steering wheel control and vehicle communication.

Changing the interface and HU cable configuration:

  • Perform all changes without power.
  • After changes, repeat steps 5 to 8 above.

In case of interface or vehicle system malfunction:

  • Reinstall the original OEM HU.
  • Start the original unit.
  • Trigger shutdown of the CAN Bus system.
  • Check the HW configuration of the interface.
  • After CAN Bus shutdown, repeat steps 5 and 6 above.

When modifying wiring or cable routing:

  • Installation and modifications may only be carried out by professionally trained personnel.
  • All modifications must be verified before connection regarding manufacturer approval or impact on vehicle warranty.
  • All modifications must be verified by measurement and comparison with the vehicle wiring diagram before connection.
  • Modifications are carried out at your own responsibility, without guarantee of functionality.
  • Modifications are carried out at your own risk, without guarantee against damage to the vehicle, device or interface.
  • Modifying pre-assembled wiring may lead to loss of product warranty.
