Maintain the original steering wheel radio control functions when replacing the original radio with a non-original unit. Compare the displayed connectors of the adapter with the connectors in your vehicle and ensure they match both visually and technically. Verify if any of the specified original car radios were used in the vehicle.

• Mitsubishi L200 (KAOT) (02/2010->10/2015) with original Mitsubishi OEM radio, without Rockford Fosgate OEM audio system, 14 Pin / 24 Pin connector, black wire — ground Klemme 31.

CAN Bus Information

• Connection: 14 Pin / 24 Pin Mitsubishi connector.
• Vehicles with original Mitsubishi OEM radio.
• Vehicles without Rockford Fosgate OEM audio system.
• Black wire — ground Klemme 31.

Important Additional Information

• A connecting cable for the specific brand of car radio is required for full activation of the adapter.

General Installation Instructions

Pre-Installation Check

1. Check all control functions and settings of the vehicle with the original OEM car radio.
2. Remove the OEM unit without power.
3. Check all interface connections without power.

Connection and Wiring Sequence

1. Perform all settings and configurations without power.
2. Check the configuration of the radio connection cable.
3. Connect the cable according to the aftermarket radio manual.
4. Connect other wires according to the device manual.
5. Connect the main power connection last.
6. Perform software configuration of the interface according to the instructions in the description and BDA.
7. Configure the aftermarket radio for SWC functions, camera, hands-free, antenna power, etc.
8. Test the steering wheel control function and vehicle communication.

Changing Interface and HU Cable Configuration

• Make changes without power.
• After changes, follow steps 5–8 above.

In Case of Interface or Vehicle System Malfunction

• Return the original OEM unit to the vehicle.
• Turn on the OEM unit.
• Wait for the CAN Bus to sleep.
• Check the hardware configuration of the interface.
• After the CAN Bus sleeps, follow steps 5–8 above.

When Modifying Connections or Cable Routing

• Modifications should only be performed by professionally trained personnel.
• Verify compliance with manufacturer requirements and warranty impact before connecting.
• Verify functionality through measurement and vehicle schematic before connecting.
