• Mazda 3 (BM) (10/2013->01/2017) with a 24 Pin Mazda connector and BOSE audio system, for versions without BOSE use adapter 42smz011.
• Mazda 3 (BM) (02/2017->03/2019) with a 24 Pin Mazda connector and BOSE audio system, for versions without BOSE use adapter 42smz011.
• Mazda CX-9 (TB1) (01/2007->07/2016) with a 24 Pin Mazda connector and BOSE audio system, for versions without BOSE use adapter 42smz011, OEM radio Panasonic.

CAN Bus Information

• Connection: 24 Pin Mazda connector.
• Connection: OEM Soundsystem ISO(m) -> ISO(f).
• Vehicles with BOSE audio system — for vehicles without BOSE use adapter 42smz011.
• Amplifier output: blue-white wire +12V Amp Remote.
• Supports date/time settings, mileage settings, and fader.

Important Additional Information

• To fully activate the adapter, an interconnecting cable for the specific radio brand must be ordered.

General Installation Guidelines

Pre-installation Check

1. Check all control functions and settings of the vehicle with the original OEM radio.
2. Remove the OEM unit without voltage.
3. Check all interface connections without voltage.

Connection and Wiring Order

1. Perform all settings and configurations without voltage.
2. Check the configuration of the radio connecting cable.
3. Connect the cable according to the aftermarket radio instructions.
4. Connect other wires as per the device instructions.
5. Connect the main power supply last.
6. Perform the software configuration of the interface as per the description and BDA.
7. Configure the aftermarket radio for SWC functions, camera, hands-free, antenna power, etc.
8. Test the steering wheel control function and vehicle communication.

Interface and HU Cable Configuration Changes

• Make changes without voltage.
• After changes, follow steps 5–8 above.

In Case of Interface or Vehicle System Malfunction

• Return the original OEM unit to the vehicle.
• Turn on the OEM unit.
• Wait for the CAN Bus to sleep.
• Check the hardware configuration of the interface.
• After CAN Bus sleeping, follow steps 5–8 above.
