Ford Tourneo Custom - complete soundproofing and top sound system

Soundproofing and top‑tier audio for a Ford Tourneo Custom. The manufacturer focused this model primarily on functionality and body strength, with forty percent of the body made from reinforced high‑strength steel. However, the Tourneo leaves the factory with essentially no sound insulation and completely lacks protection against vibrations and noise. We don’t often see such a situation—some insulation is usually present in cars. This deficit manifests as relatively high noise levels in this vehicle, with the biggest issues coming from low‑frequency tire rumble, road and engine noise, aerodynamic noise, and body vibration over bumps. As part of our most effective Expert Plus soundproofing package we soundproofed the front, rear and fifth doors, the floor, the cargo area including the rear wheel arches, the hood, the front wheel arches and the roof. All major areas were treated with Comfortmat membrane materials, which currently represent the most effective option for car soundproofing. Comfortmat materials also provide thermal insulation, useful both in winter and summer. We also focused on this car’s audio—and not with just any speakers. Given the client’s demands we could not consider anything other than Morel. Specifically, we chose hi‑end component speakers from the second‑highest Elate Titanium series, which will astonish you with their almost perfectly faithful sound reproduction. Rightly regarded as some of the finest speakers in the world, they must be paired with other components of similar quality to show their full potential. Choosing a suitable amplifier is not an easy task, because Elate Titanium speakers demand not only very high power but also top amplifier quality. Small modern digital amplifiers do not achieve the same qualities as classic "Class‑A" designs, so we chose a 4‑channel amplifier from the Italian workshop Mosconi, which was at one time awarded by the prestigious EISA organization as the best amplifier in the world in its category. We used all 4 channels for active wiring of mid‑woofers and tweeters and everything is controlled by an Audison DSP processor. On it we set crossovers, filters, time alignment, slopes and a detailed equalizer. To complement the sound in the rear we installed coaxial speakers from the same manufacturer into the roof. The result of the installation is not only outstanding sound but also a quieter car with incomparably higher driving comfort.
