ADBL Clay Towel
The decontamination towel with a polymer layer is a modern and effective alternative to classic clay intended for mechanical cleaning of the bodywork. This special towel easily removes embedded contaminants such as tar, resin, road asphalt or insect remains. Thanks to innovative technology it significantly speeds up the whole decontamination process and leaves the vehicle surface perfectly smooth and ready for the next paint protection step.
Mechanical paint decontamination is a key step before applying any protection, whether wax, sealant or ceramic coating. Traditional clay bars are often demanding to prepare and can be damaged if handled carelessly, for example if dropped on the ground. This polymer towel eliminates the risk of damage because if it gets contaminated it can simply be rinsed in clean water and you can safely continue working.
The special polymer layer on the towel's surface works exceptionally effectively and captures all microscopic contaminants that ordinary washing cannot remove. How to use
- Thoroughly wash the vehicle body using the two-bucket method and leave it wet.
- In case of heavy contamination first perform chemical decontamination to remove asphalt and fallout rust.
- Before starting work lubricate the surface thoroughly and ensure continuous lubrication during the whole process.
- For lubrication of the paint use any clay lubricant from our range.
- Move the towel over the paint in longitudinal or crosswise motions without applying excessive pressure.
- Rinse the towel regularly in clean water to avoid accidental scratching of the surface by released contaminants.
- Repeat the procedure on individual body panels until the paint is completely smooth.
- After finishing the work rinse the car again and dry it, ideally using a quality drying towel.
- After completing decontamination rinse the towel thoroughly in clean water, let it dry and store it in the original packaging.
- Do not expose the product to temperatures exceeding 40 °C.
