Retain the original steering-wheel radio controls when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket unit. Depending on vehicle equipment, available functions and the software of the newly installed radio, some functions may be limited or replaced by others. Compare the displayed wiring connectors with the connectors in your vehicle and make sure they match both technically and visually. Check whether any of the listed OEM radios were originally installed. Before final installation verify vehicle functionality, system settings and correct operation of the steering wheel control (SWC).

    • Coding of the grey OEM connector using a workshop tool may be required.
    • For vehicles with OEM Sat Nav / OEM camera, the 24 Pin connector must be checked before installation by measuring with the original HU (Pin 9: +6V OEM camera power supply, Pin 21: OEM camera GND, Pin 10: Video+, Pin 22: Video−).
    • For powering the OEM camera, a 12V → 6V / 1.5A max voltage reducer can be used (item: 30.3520-04).

    Important Additional Information

    • To fully activate the adapter, a connection cable for the specific head unit brand must be ordered.

    General Installation Instructions

    Verification Before Installation

    1. Check all vehicle functions and settings with the original OEM unit.
    2. Disconnect the OEM head unit in a voltage-free condition.
    3. Check all connectors and interface wiring in a voltage-free condition.

    Connection and Installation Sequence

    1. Check the settings and HW configuration of the interface in a voltage-free condition.
    2. Check the HU cable configuration in a voltage-free condition.
    3. Connect the HU cable according to the aftermarket head unit manual.
    4. Connect the remaining wires according to the head unit manual.
    5. Connect the main power supply last.
    6. Perform the software configuration of the interface according to the manual.
    7. Configure the aftermarket HU according to the manual (SWC/camera/handsfree/antenna power supply etc.).
    8. Perform a functional test of the steering wheel controls and vehicle systems.

    Changing the Interface and HU Cable Configuration

    1. Perform only in a voltage-free condition.
    2. After making changes, repeat steps 5 to 8 above.

    In Case of Malfunction

    1. Reinstall the OEM HU.
    2. Switch on the OEM HU.
    3. Initiate CAN Bus shutdown.
    4. Check the HW configuration of the interface.
    5. After CAN Bus shutdown, repeat steps 5 and 6 above.

    When Modifying Wiring or Cable Routing

    • Modifications may only be carried out by a trained specialist.
    • Before connection, verify manufacturer approval and impact on the vehicle warranty.
    • Verify correct functionality and wiring by measurement according to the vehicle wiring diagram.
    • Modifications are carried out at your own responsibility without guarantee of function or prevention of vehicle damage.
    • Modifications of factory-installed wiring may result in loss of warranty.
