Retain the original steering wheel radio control functions when replacing the original radio with an aftermarket unit. Depending on the vehicle's features, the range of functions, and the software of the newly installed radio, some functions may be limited or replaced by others. Compare the displayed wiring connectors with those in your vehicle to ensure they match both technically and visually. Check if one of the listed OEM radios was originally installed. Verify vehicle functionality, system settings, and correct operation of steering wheel control (SWC) before final assembly.

CAN Bus Information

Connectors and Power:

Connector: 52-pin Fiat.
Output for OEM steering wheel control: 3.5mm jack or loose wire.
OEM rear camera connection: RCA (cinch) – yellow connector to the rear camera input.

Settings:

Set DIP switches according to the manufacturer of the aftermarket radio used.
If an error message appears on the trip meter after installation, adjust the DIP switch settings without power.

Vehicle Compatibility:

Vehicles with OEM Continental 250VP1/250VP2 unit.
Vehicles with OEM UConnect unit.
Vehicles with OEM Daiichi unit.

Function Limitations:

On-board computer – vehicle settings are not supported without an infodapter.
High beam assistant is not supported.
Driver assistance systems are not supported.
Date and time settings are not supported without an infodapter.

Infodapter for Extended Functions:

Infodapter Citroen/Fiat/Opel/Peugeot 52-pin Fiat VP1/VP2.

Available Auxiliary Signals:

+12 V ignition.

Important Additional Information

Designed for aftermarket radios Sony, Kenwood, JVC, Pioneer, Blaupunkt, Clarion, Alpine, LG, Zenec, XZent, Digital Dynamics, ESX, Snooper, and universal "China HU" with Key1/Key2/GND wires or 3.5mm jack depending on type.
A specific connecting cable for the brand of radio must be ordered for full adapter activation.

General Installation Guidelines

Pre-Installation Verification:

Check all control functions and vehicle settings with the original OEM head unit.
Remove the original radio without power.
Verify all interface connections are properly connected – without power.

Connection and Wiring Order:

Set up and configure the interface hardware without power.
Check the connection cable configuration to the HU.
Connect the cable to the HU as per the aftermarket device instructions.
Connect other wires according to the device instructions.
Connect the entire installation to the vehicle – connect the main power connection last.
Perform software configuration of the interface as directed in the product description or instructions.
Configure the aftermarket HU (steering wheel control, camera, hands-free, antenna power, etc.).
Perform a functional test of the steering wheel control and vehicle communication.

Changing Interface and HU Cable Configuration:

Make all changes without power.
After changes, repeat steps 5 to 8 above.

In Case of Interface or Vehicle System Failure:

Restore the original OEM HU.
Start the original unit.
Wait for the CAN Bus system to sleep.
Check the interface hardware configuration.
After the CAN Bus sleeps, repeat steps 5 to 8 above.

Only professionally trained personnel should perform connections and modifications.
All changes must be verified for manufacturer approval or warranty impact before connection.
