The Nakamichi FIDELA FDSD270 represents a completely new generation of devices for car audio that combines an 8-channel DSP processor, a 4-channel class D amplifier and an integrated Hi-Res DSD player in a single compact chassis. It can therefore act as a complete audio system center – from music playback through its digital processing to powering the speakers. The built-in amplifier delivers 4 × 40 W RMS at 4 Ω, while the 8 RCA outputs with up to 6 V allow easy connection of external amplifiers for even more demanding active setups.
Music can be played directly from a USB flash drive, external drive, mobile phone via OTG, Bluetooth 5.3 or digital optical and coaxial inputs, so you don't need to rely on the quality of the built-in head unit. The player supports Hi-Res formats including DSD64, DSD128, FLAC, WAV, APE, AAC and MP3, with USB media up to 512 GB and external drives up to 2 TB.
The powerful DSP processor offers a 31-band equalizer for each output channel, time corrections up to 20 ms, smooth phase adjustment, professional active crossovers Butterworth, Bessel and Linkwitz-Riley with slopes up to 48 dB/oct and the ability to save six user sound profiles. All settings can be conveniently made via computer or the FDSD Series mobile app.

Integrated 10-channel DSP processor
Inside the device you will find quality components such as WIMA and ELNA capacitors, OPA1678 operational amplifiers and Toshiba chips operating in class AB. The DSP processor is built on the AK7735 chip from Asahi Kasei and high-quality PCM3168 circuits handle digital-to-analog conversion. The DSP offers a 31-band equalizer for each channel with 1 Hz resolution, time delay capability up to 25 ms, phase control and a selection of professional crossover types such as Butterworth, Bessel or Linkwitz-Riley. The output signal is fully tunable including gain and Q settings. A stable and extensive PC tuning software is of course provided, as well as an intuitive mobile app for phone-based setup. Thanks to low distortion (≤0.05%) and high signal-to-noise ratio (≥98 dB), the resulting sound is precise and faithful, suitable even for demanding installations.

About the brand
The history of the Nakamichi brand dates back to 1948 when it was founded in Japan by Etsuro Nakamichi. His journey began with the establishment of the Nakamichi Research Corporation in Tokyo, focused on sonar research, magnets and development solutions for leading brands, government institutions and universities.
