How to Care for Polishing Pads

• Caring for polishing pads is crucial for their longevity and future polishing capabilities.
• The temperature of the pad itself is very important during use, as it can heat up significantly during polishing.
• If you polish paint for an extended period and frequently overheat the pad, it will significantly reduce its lifespan.
• Monitor the temperature and let the pad cool down if it becomes overheated.
• Both the foam and the adhesive of the pad suffer at high temperatures.
• The polishing pad needs to be cleaned frequently during the polishing process, otherwise, it will cease to function effectively.
• Once the pad is clogged with polishing paste, it needs to be addressed immediately.
• You can use a medium-soft brush and set the polisher to lower speeds to brush away the old paste.
• Be careful not to throw used paste onto the polished car paint during rotary cleaning.
• If you own an air compressor, you can use it to blow out the pad while the polisher is on.
• After successful machine polishing, the pad should be prepared for future use.
• We recommend washing the pad in a washing machine at 40°C using a detergent suitable for microfiber.
