How to Care for Polishing Pads

• Caring for polishing pads is crucial for their longevity and future polishing capabilities.
• The temperature of the pad during work is very important for its lifespan since it can heat up significantly during paint polishing.
• If you polish the paint for extended periods and frequently overheat the pad, you significantly shorten its lifespan.
• Monitor the temperature, and if the pad is overheated, let it cool down for a while.
• High temperatures affect both the foam and the adhesive of the pad.
• The polishing pad needs to be cleaned frequently during the polishing process, or it will stop functioning effectively.
• Once the pad is clogged with polishing paste, it needs to be addressed.
• You can use a medium-soft brush and set the polisher to a lower speed, brush off the old paste, and let the polisher rotate the pad while holding the brush.
• Be careful not to splatter used paste onto the polished paint of the car during rotary cleaning.
• If you have an air compressor, you can use it to blow out the pad with the polisher running.
• After successful machine polishing, the pad also needs to be restored for future use.
• We recommend washing the pad in a washing machine at 40°C with a detergent suitable for microfiber.
• Do not wash pads together with towels or cloths!
• Do not tumble dry pads but let them air dry on a drying towel with the polishing side down.
