How to Care for Polishing Pads

• Caring for polishing pads is crucial for their longevity and future polishing capabilities.
• During use, the temperature of the pad is very important for its lifespan, as it can heat up significantly during polishing.
• If you polish the paint for a long time and frequently overheat the pad, its lifespan is significantly reduced.
• Therefore, monitor the temperature and allow the pad to cool down if it gets too hot.
• High temperatures affect both the foam and the adhesive of the pad.
• Polishing pads need to be cleaned frequently during the polishing process; otherwise, they stop functioning effectively.
• Once the pad is clogged with polishing paste, it needs to be addressed.
• You can use a medium-soft brush and set the polisher to lower speeds to brush off the old paste.
• Be careful not to throw used paste onto the polished car surface during rotary cleaning.
• If you own an air compressor, you can use it to blow out the pad while the polisher is running.
• After successful machine polishing, the pad should be conditioned for future use.
• We recommend washing the pad in a washing machine at 40°C using a microfiber detergent.
• Never wash pads together with towels or cloths!
