How to Care for Polishing Pads

• Caring for polishing pads is crucial for their long lifespan and future polishing capabilities.
• The temperature of the pad during use, which can heat up significantly during paint polishing, is vital for its lifespan.
• If you polish for an extended period and frequently overheat the pad, you significantly reduce its lifespan.
• Monitor the temperature and allow the pad to cool if it overheats.
• High temperatures affect both the foam and the adhesive of the pad.
• The polishing pad needs frequent cleaning during the polishing process; otherwise, it will stop functioning effectively.
• Once the polishing pad is clogged with polishing paste, it needs attention.
• You can use a medium-soft brush and set the polisher to lower speeds to brush out the old paste. Simply hold the brush in your hand and let the polisher rotate the pad.
• Be careful not to throw used paste onto the polished car paint during rotary cleaning.
• If you own an air compressor, you can use it to blow out the pad while the polisher is on.
• After successful machine polishing, the pad should be prepared for future use.
• We recommend washing the polishing pad in a washing machine at 40°C using a microfiber detergent.
• Never wash pads together with towels or cloths!
• Do not tumble dry the pads; let them air dry on a drying towel with the polishing side down.
