Gyeon Q²R MarinePolish Step 1 REDEFINED is a highly abrasive polishing compound intended for use on yacht and boat paints. It offers high abrasive performance for effective removal of defects and oxidation. It very quickly removes heavy defects, overspray or oxidation. Q²R MarinePolish Step 1 REDEFINED provides enormous cutting power without the usual cost of heavy defects (creation of secondary holograms). It has a water-based formulation and contains high-quality Japanese abrasives that enable quick and easy removal of heavy defects. It contains no masking fillers or silicones.

How to use

• Before machine polishing the paint, thoroughly decontaminate and dry the surface.
• When working with an abrasive compound always use a pad suitable for the given compound, here we recommend using for example a grinding pad Gyeon Q²M Rotary Heavy Cut.
• Shake the bottle with the compound and apply a small amount of compound to the polishing pad.
• Work on an area of approx. 50 x 50 cm.
• Work using the cross-coating method, polishing in a cross pattern.
• At the beginning of the polishing process use more pressure and gradually reduce the pressure.
• When sanding the paint, use rather medium machine speeds.
• The compound works best during the first 45 seconds.
• Each paint is individual and it is sometimes necessary to test which pressure and machine speed are optimal for the given paint.
• Once you finish the polishing process, remove all compound residues with a microfiber cloth using a paint cleaner Gyeon Q²R Degrease.
• If you are not satisfied with the result, you can re-polish the given panel repeatedly until the paint is free of larger scratches.
• Sanded paint may have a surface with fine holograms (a slight haze), which can be easily removed using a finishing compound Gyeon Q²R Marine Polish Step 2.
