It is made from high-quality, highly durable foam to meet the demands of modern orbital polishers. The rounded side profile of the pad allows perfectly even pressure distribution during polishing. Gyeon Q²M Eccentric Heavy Cut has a reduced foam height to eliminate pad resistance during polishing. The hook-and-loop diameter has been reduced to perfectly match the backing plate for easy attachment. The pad's center has a hole for easy and precise mounting on the backing plate, and the open center also improves cooling of the pad.

How to care for polishing pads

• Caring for polishing pads is important for their longevity and future polishing performance.
• During work, the temperature of the pad is very important for its lifespan, as the pad can heat up to high temperatures during polishing.
• If you sand the paint for a long time and frequently overheat the pad, you significantly shorten its life.
• Therefore, monitor the temperature and, if the pad is overheated, let it cool down for a while.
• High temperature damages both the foam and the pad adhesive.
• The polishing pad needs frequent cleaning during polishing; otherwise it will stop working and polishing will be ineffective.
• Once the pad becomes clogged with polish, it needs to be addressed.
• You can take a medium-stiff brush (e.g. Poka Premium Brush for Details and Pad cleaning - Hard Blue) and run the polisher at low speed in your hand while brushing out the old polish.
• Just hold the brush while the polisher spins the pad. Be careful not to fling used polish onto freshly polished paintwork.
• If you have an air compressor, you can use it the same way: with the polisher running, simply blow the pad clean.
• After a successful machine polishing session, the pad should be prepared for next use.
• We recommend washing the pad in a washing machine at 40 °C using a detergent suitable for microfiber. We recommend the high-quality detergent Gyeon Q²M TowelWash, which works excellently.
• Never wash pads together with towels or cloths!
• Do not tumble-dry pads after washing; let them air dry laid on a drying towel with the polishing side down.
• If you do not have a washing machine available, you can wash the pads by hand using an APC cleaner (e.g. Gyeon Q²M APC) diluted at 1:6.
• Polishing pads should be stored in a dry place out of direct sunlight, ideally in a closed clean plastic box.
