The Ewocar Medium Red polishing pad is designed to remove light to medium scratches and common wash- and use-related holograms. Thanks to its strong abrasive power, this polishing pad can also remove heavier holograms while leaving a perfectly glossy finish. It was specially developed for use with the one-step compound Ewocar One Cut to ensure maximum performance and top results. You can also use abrasive compounds such as Ewocar Heavy Cut, or for smaller scratches Ewocar Fine Cut. The pad has a long service life and, combined with effective compound composition, offers exceptional value and the possibility of repeated use.

How to care for polishing pads

• Care of polishing pads is important for their long life and future polishing performance.
• The temperature of the pad during use is critical, as the pad can heat up to high temperatures while polishing paint.
• If you sand the paint for a long time and frequently overheat the pad, you will significantly shorten its lifespan.
• Therefore monitor the temperature and, if the pad is overheated, let it cool down for a while.
• High temperatures damage both the foam and the pad’s adhesive.
• The polishing pad needs to be cleaned often during the polishing process, otherwise it will stop working and polishing will become ineffective.
• Once the pad becomes clogged with compound, it needs to be addressed.
• You can take a medium-stiff brush (for example, Poka Premium Brush for Details and Pad cleaning - Hard Blue), set the polisher to lower speed, hold the pad in the air and brush out the old compound.
• Hold the brush in your hand and let the polisher spin the pad. Be careful not to fling used compound onto the freshly polished paint.
• If you have an air compressor, you can use it the same way to blow the pad clean while the polisher is running.
• After successful machine polishing, the pad should be prepared so it can ideally be used again.
• We recommend washing the polishing pad in a washing machine at 40 °C using a detergent intended for microfiber. We recommend a high-quality detergent such as Gyeon Q²M TowelWash, which works excellently.
• Never wash pads together with towels or rags!
• Do not put pads into a tumble dryer after washing; let them air-dry laid on a drying towel with the polishing side down.
• If you do not have access to a washing machine, you can wash the pads by hand using an APC cleaner (for example, Gyeon Q²M APC) diluted at a ratio of 1:6.
• Polishing pads should be stored in a dry place away from direct sunlight, ideally in a closed clean plastic box.
