The Ewocar Medium Red polishing pad is designed to remove light to medium scratches and common wash and traffic holograms. Thanks to its strong abrasive power, it can also remove heavier holograms while leaving a perfectly glossy finish. It was specially developed for use with the one-step compound Ewocar One Cut to ensure maximum performance and top results. You can also use abrasive compounds such as Ewocar Heavy Cut, or for smaller scratches Ewocar Fine Cut. The pad has a long service life and the effective composition of the compounds provides exceptional value and the possibility of repeated use.

How to care for polishing pads

• Care for polishing pads is important for their long life and future polishing performance.
• During work, the temperature of the pad itself is very important; the pad can heat up to high temperatures while polishing paint.
• If you sand the paint for a long time and frequently overheat the pad, you significantly shorten its lifespan.
• Therefore monitor the temperature and if the pad is overheated, let it cool down for a while.
• High temperatures damage both the foam and the pad adhesive.
• The polishing pad needs to be cleaned often during the polishing process, otherwise it will stop working and polishing will not be effective.
• Once the pad is clogged with polishing compound, you need to deal with it.
• You can take a medium-stiff brush (for example Poka Premium Brush for Details and Pad cleaning - Hard Blue), set the polisher to lower speed, hold it in your hand and brush out the old compound.
• Hold the brush and let the polisher spin the pad. Be careful not to fling the used compound onto the freshly polished paintwork.
• If you have an air compressor, you can use it in the same way and simply blow the pad while the polisher is running.
• After successful machine polishing, the pad should also be prepared so it can ideally be used again next time.
• We recommend washing the polishing pad in a washing machine at 40 °C using a detergent intended for microfiber. We recommend using a high-quality detergent such as Gyeon Q²M TowelWash, which works excellently.
• Never wash pads together with towels or rags!
• Do not put pads in a tumble dryer after washing; let them air dry laid on a drying towel with the polishing side down.
• If you do not have a washing machine available, you can wash pads by hand using an APC cleaner (for example Gyeon Q²M APC) diluted at a ratio of 1:6.
• Polishing pads should be stored in a dry place out of direct sunlight, ideally in a closed clean plastic box.
