Additional power now also in the high-frequency band – this is made possible by the newly developed CXS 28+ tweeter! Enhanced performance in the lower high-frequency band is achieved through a large 28mm voice coil combined with a compact enclosure and damping pad. The trick is to maintain the installation dimensions of a 25mm tweeter, achieving higher performance and efficiency in the lower high-frequency band despite small installation dimensions. A powerful neodymium magnet, along with a newly developed coated fabric dome and its innovative geometry, ensures impressive high-frequency performance: the CXS 28+ impresses with dynamic sound reproduction with optimized omnidirectional characteristics and significantly higher levels. The new tweeter now has a resonance frequency of 1300 Hz, which is a full 500 Hz less than its predecessor! The result is a low threshold value in active mode (starting from 2.4 kHz/12 dB) – allowing it to acoustically blend even better with the mid-bass driver. The fabric tweeters CXS 28+ provide silk-smooth highs with ultra-fine dynamic details that deeply impress discerning listeners!
