Carbon Collective Elixir Salt Remover Concentrate
A special concentrated formula designed for effective removal of road salt, sand and inorganic road film from vehicle surfaces. This low-pH foaming cleaner neutralizes deposited salt, significantly helping to minimize the risk of corrosion on chassis components and suspension parts. It is an indispensable step in pre-washing vehicles, especially during the winter months when cars are subjected to the harshest conditions.
Road salt is a serious threat to every vehicle because it greatly accelerates the corrosion of metal parts of the chassis, suspension and bodywork. Ordinary washing with water or standard car shampoos often cannot fully remove bonded crystalline salt particles from the surface. Salt reacts on the road with organic molecules such as fuel residues, oils and other contaminants, forming a stubborn film on the car. This targeted salt remover is designed to break these strong bonds and safely dissolve even the most resistant deposits that would otherwise remain on the vehicle and cause gradual material degradation.
The product’s composition features a low pH and a foamy consistency, which brings a significant advantage during application. The thick foam can stay on the surface longer without quickly running off, giving the active ingredients enough time to thoroughly dissolve deposited salt and inorganic road film. This process is especially important for older cars and classic vehicles that lack modern factory corrosion protection. In these vehicles protective underbody coatings can become brittle and crack over time, creating microscopic gaps into which salt and water easily penetrate and cause hidden corrosion.
It is ideal to include this concentrate as the first step of a two-stage pre-wash during regular winter washing. Apply the product first to the lower parts of the vehicle, wheel arches and the entire undercarriage where salt accumulates most. After rinsing it off, it is recommended to apply an active foam that neutralizes any remaining cleaner and safely removes residual contaminants. Thorough care of the undercarriage and hard-to-reach areas where salt deposits like to hide is the best way to protect your car investment long-term and extend its service life.
Main features
- Highly effective formula for safe removal of road salt and inorganic contaminants from both bodywork and undercarriage.
- Concentrated formulation with flexible dilution ratios depending on contamination level.
- Foamy consistency ensures longer dwell time on the cleaned surface.
- Effectively removes crystalline salt particles that cannot be washed away with a regular shampoo.
How to use
- Thoroughly wet the vehicle body before applying the product.
- Choose the appropriate dilution ratio according to the level of contamination and application method.
- Always wear suitable protective gloves when working.
- For first-time application or when removing long-term salt deposits we recommend a stronger concentration.
- The product can be applied with a hand sprayer, a foam lance for a pressure washer or via a hose adapter.
- Apply the mixture primarily to the lower half of the vehicle, wheel arches and the entire undercarriage.
- Let the product work for approximately 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with pressure water until the runoff is completely clear.
- After cleaning and drying we recommend treating the underbody with a protective wax such as Bilt Hamber Dynax-UC.
- After rinsing the product, apply an active foam to help neutralize remaining chemicals and safely remove any last traces of dirt.
- Pay special attention to all seams and hidden areas on the undercarriage where salt tends to concentrate.
- Never allow the product to dry on the surface.
- Apply only to a cool body and out of direct sunlight.
- Dilution ratios for deep cleaning before protection application:
- Via spray bottle: 150 ml product and 850 ml water (resulting pH 4.5).
- Via foam lance: 200 ml product and 800 ml water (resulting pH 6.5).
- Dilution ratios for regular maintenance:
- Via spray bottle: 100 ml product and 900 ml water (resulting pH 6.0).
- Via foam lance: 100 ml product and 900 ml water (resulting pH 6.7).
- Via hose adapter: undiluted (resulting pH 6.5).
- Overview of pH at various dilution levels in a spray bottle:
- 50 ml to 950 ml water = pH 6.1
- 100 ml to 900 ml water = pH 6.0
- 150 ml to 850 ml water = pH 4.3
- 200 ml to 800 ml water = pH 3.9
- 250 ml to 750 ml water = pH 3.8
- Overview of pH when using a foam lance (at a flow of 10 litres per minute):
- 50 ml to 950 ml water = pH 7.1
- 100 ml to 900 ml water = pH 6.7
- 150 ml to 850 ml water = pH 6.6
- 200 ml to 800 ml water = pH 6.5
- 250 ml to 750 ml water = pH 6.3
- Overview of pH when using a hose applicator:
- Undiluted concentrate = pH 6.8
- Additive to a wash bucket (as a supplement to Lusso shampoo):
- 50 ml to 20 litres water = pH 7
- 100 ml to 20 litres water = pH 6.75.
