Carbon Collective Elixir Salt Remover Concentrate is a highly effective foaming pre-wash with low pH, specially developed to neutralize and safely remove road salt, sand and resilient inorganic road film. It helps effectively protect the underbody, wheel suspension and bodywork from corrosion that winter salting significantly accelerates. It is an indispensable aid for winter maintenance of both modern and classic vehicles.

Road salt is one of the greatest dangers to any vehicle, especially in winter. Salt quickly reacts with organic molecules such as fuel residues, oils and other road contaminants, forming a resistant, firmly bound coating on the vehicle surface. This coating cannot be easily removed by ordinary shampoo or pressure washing alone. Even prolonged exposure to water cannot reliably release crystalline salt particles. If salt remains on the vehicle it will immediately react with moisture and oxygen, leading to rapid corrosion development on unprotected metal parts of the underbody, wheel suspension and in body crevices.

This specialized salt remover works on the basis of a foaming pre-wash with low pH, purposefully developed to break the bonds between salt, inorganic film and the car surface. Thanks to its foamy consistency the product stays on the surface significantly longer, giving it enough time to chemically break down adhered salt and sand. The low pH is ideal for releasing these specific contaminants without damaging the surface. Regular use of this product during winter months helps minimize the risk of rust and significantly extends the lifespan of all underbody parts most exposed to harsh weather and aggressive road chemistry.

Older and classic cars are especially vulnerable as they often lack modern factory galvanization. On these vehicles original underbody coatings and rubber seals become brittle and crack over time, revealing bare metal. Salt-laden water then easily penetrates these microcracks and corrosion spreads covertly and faster. By including this product in a two-step pre-wash process you gain reliable protection. After application and rinsing of the salt remover it is recommended to use a neutral active foam, which neutralizes remaining chemicals and leaves the surface perfectly clean and ready for subsequent protection.

How to use

• Before applying the product first thoroughly wet the bodywork with water.
• When working always use suitable rubber protective gloves.
• Choose the desired dilution ratio according to application type and contamination level.
• For first use we recommend a stronger concentration to remove old accumulated salt layers.
• Apply the product using a sprayer, foamer (Snow Foam Lance) or hose adapter to the lower part of the vehicle, wheel arches and underbody.
• Let it act for approximately 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with a pressure washer until the runoff is completely clear.
• After rinsing apply active foam Ultimus or Ultimus+ to neutralize remaining chemical residues from the first step and remove common grime.
• After thorough cleaning and drying of the underbody we recommend applying a protective underbody wax such as Bilt Hamber Dynax-UC.
• Pay special attention to cleaning all seams and hidden places on the underbody where salt most frequently accumulates.
• Never let the product dry completely on the surface.
• Apply only to a cool body and out of direct sunlight.
• Recommended dilution for deep cleaning before protection: spray bottle (150 ml product and 850 ml water - pH 4.5), foamer (200 ml product and 800 ml water - pH 6.5).
• Recommended dilution for regular maintenance: spray bottle (100 ml product and 900 ml water - pH 6.0), foamer (100 ml product and 900 ml water - pH 6.7), hose adapter (use undiluted - pH 6.5).
• Additive for the wash bucket (in combination with Lusso shampoo): 50 ml to 20 liters of water (pH 7.0) or 100 ml to 20 liters of water (pH 6.75).
