Road salt is one of the biggest enemies of any motorist because it dramatically accelerates corrosive processes on the underbody, wheel suspension and other metal components of the vehicle. Ordinary salt dissolves in water, but on the road it reacts with organic molecules like fuel residues, engine oils and other inorganic contaminants. This process creates a resistant, firmly bound film on the vehicle surface that cannot be easily removed by pressure washing or regular hand shampooing. Even prolonged soaking cannot reliably release these firmly adhered crystalline particles, which leads to gradual damage to unprotected metal surfaces and weakening of the material structure.

This specialized salt remover works as a foaming pre-wash with low pH, specifically designed to break down and neutralize these stubborn deposits, sand and inorganic road film. Its unique foamy consistency ensures the product does not run off immediately but remains actively working on the surface for a longer time. During this action the salt crust chemically breaks down, enabling safe removal of contaminants from the surface without risking paint scratches. In areas with extreme buildup the product can be mechanically assisted with a soft detailing brush to free even the deepest deposits in hard-to-reach underbody crevices.

An exceptionally important role of this product is in the care of older vehicles and youngtimers, which often lack modern factory galvanization. Original protective coatings and rubber seals on the underbody of classic cars become brittle and crack over the years, exposing bare metal that salt combined with moisture can easily penetrate and cause hidden corrosion. By incorporating this product into your regular winter maintenance as the first step of a two-stage pre-wash, you create a reliable barrier against material degradation. Subsequent use of a neutral active foam then perfectly neutralizes residues of the cleaning mix and leaves the surface clean and ready for additional anti-corrosion protection.

How to use

• Before application thoroughly wet the bodywork with water.
• When working always use suitable rubber protective gloves.
• Choose the desired dilution ratio according to the application method and contamination level.
• For first use or to remove long-term salt deposits we recommend a stronger concentration.
• The product can be applied via hand sprayer, a foamer attached to a pressure washer or through a hose adapter.
• Apply the product first to the lower half of the vehicle, wheel arches and underbody where salt accumulates most.
• Let it act for approximately 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with a pressure washer until the runoff is completely clear.
• After rinsing we recommend applying active foam Ultimus or Ultimus+ to neutralize remaining chemical residues from the first step.
• Pay particular attention to hidden spots and seams in the underbody where concentrated salt most often accumulates and accelerates corrosion.
• Never allow the product to dry completely on the surface.
• Apply only to a cool bodywork and out of direct sunlight.
• Recommended dilution for deep cleaning before protection: spray bottle (150 ml product and 850 ml water - pH 4.5), foamer (200 ml product and 800 ml water - pH 6.5).
• Recommended dilution for regular maintenance: spray bottle (100 ml product and 900 ml water - pH 6.0), foamer (100 ml product and 900 ml water - pH 6.7), hose adapter (use undiluted - pH 6.5).
• Additive for the wash bucket (combined with Lusso shampoo): 50 ml to 20 liters of water (pH 7) or 100 ml to 20 liters of water (pH 6.75).
