Audi Q7 - top sound system from ESB Audio

Audi Q7 and a significant audio upgrade including top ESB Audio speakers, an amplifier with an integrated DSP processor, and—of course—measurement of each speaker’s frequency response followed by detailed DSP tuning. Our client wanted a sound upgrade focused primarily on high fidelity. Within the given budget we chose component speakers from the Italian manufacturer ESB Audio, model line Cinquemila, notable for their advanced sound, exemplary craftsmanship and the use of luxurious materials, including carbon membranes for both midbass and tweeter diaphragms. Thanks to the speakers’ very high sensitivity and 3-ohm impedance, a high amplifier power isn’t required, which allowed us to run the speakers actively from a four-channel amplifier by American high-end maker Zapco that includes an integrated DSP processor. Finally, we performed measurements and meticulous DSP tuning. Using a calibrated microphone we measured all the car’s acoustic shortcomings and set spatial equalizer correction for each speaker. We then adjusted time alignment, levels, crossovers and other DSP options. The result is highly accurate, tailor-made sound for the car and listener, and a dramatic change in how music is perceived—the goal being to move the soundstage forward so you can enjoy the feeling of sitting at a live concert right in front of the performer.
