Steering wheel button control adapter for Porsche ACV SWC 42XPO007-0

Retain the original steering wheel radio control functions when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket unit. Depending on vehicle equipment, the range of functions and the software of the newly installed head unit, some functions may be limited or replaced by others. Compare the displayed wiring connectors with the connectors in your vehicle and make sure they match both technically and visually. Check whether one of the listed OEM head units was originally installed. Before final installation verify vehicle functionality, system settings and correct operation of the steering wheel controls (SWC).

• Porsche Cayenne (92A/958) (05/2010 -> 07/2014) - original OEM radio PCM 3.1, OEM amplifier system MOST, without 360° camera system, without OEM Burmester 3D High End Surround amplifier system, OEM MOST amplifier system without fader function support, vehicle settings are not supported.
• Porsche Cayenne (92A/958) (10/2014 -> 12/2017) - original OEM radio PCM 3.1, OEM amplifier system MOST, without 360° camera system, without OEM Burmester 3D High End Surround amplifier system, OEM MOST amplifier system without fader function support, vehicle settings are not supported.

CAN Bus information

Connectors and power:

• Connectors: 40-pin Porsche Quadlock.
• OEM steering wheel control connection: 3.5 mm jack or a free wire to the SWC input of the head unit.
• OEM MOST amplifier system connection: RCA (red/white) – preamplified output from the aftermarket radio.
• OEM rear parking camera connection: RCA (yellow).
• Blue/white: +12V switched output for amplifier turn-on (Amp remote).

Settings:

• Set DIP switches according to the aftermarket unit manufacturer (see BDA).

Compatibility with vehicles:

• OEM MOST amplifier system – fader function is not supported.
• No support for 360° camera system.
• No support for OEM Burmester 3D High End Surround amplifier system.
• Vehicle settings are not supported.

Special cases and warnings:

• Re-imported vehicles or vehicles with different software may have limited functionality.

Important additional information

• Compatible with aftermarket head units that support the OEM MOST system, OEM rear camera and an analog input for steering wheel control.
• To fully activate the adapter, you must order the connection cable for the specific head unit brand.

General installation instructions

Checks before installation:

1. Check all control functions and vehicle settings with the original OEM head unit.
2. Disconnect the original radio (OEM HU) with the power off.
3. Check all interface connections to ensure they are properly connected – with power off.

Connections and wiring order:

1. Set and check the HW configuration of the interface – with power off.
2. Check the configuration of the cable to the HU – with power off.
3. Connect the cable to the HU according to the aftermarket device manual.
4. Connect the remaining wires according to the device manual.
5. Connect the entire installation to the vehicle – connect the main power connection last.
6. Perform the software configuration of the interface according to the product description or manual.
7. Configure the aftermarket HU (steering wheel controls, camera, handsfree, antenna power, etc.).
8. Perform a functional test of the steering wheel controls and communication with the vehicle.

Changing the interface and HU cable configuration:

• Make all changes with power off.
• After any change repeat steps 5 to 8 listed above.

In case of interface or vehicle system malfunction:

• Reinstall the original OEM HU.
• Start the original unit.
• Initiate CAN Bus shutdown.
• Check the HW configuration of the interface.
• After CAN Bus shutdown repeat steps 5 and 6 listed above.

When modifying wiring or cable routing:

• Wiring and modifications may only be carried out by professionally trained personnel.
• All changes must be verified before connection regarding manufacturer approval or impact on the vehicle warranty.
• All modifications must be verified before connection by measurement and comparison with the vehicle wiring diagram.
