Retain the original steering wheel radio control functions when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket unit. Depending on vehicle equipment, the range of functions and the software of the newly installed radio, some functions may be limited or replaced by others. Compare the displayed wiring connectors with the connectors in your vehicle and ensure they match both technically and visually. Check whether any of the listed OEM radios were originally installed. Before final installation, verify vehicle functionality, system settings and correct operation of the steering wheel controls (SWC).

- Renault Clio III [R] (05/2009 -> 04/2014) - original OEM radio.
- Renault Mégane III [B/BZ] (05/2009 -> 03/2012) - original OEM radio.
- Renault Scenic III [JZ] (06/2009 -> 02/2012) - original OEM radio.
- Renault Twingo II [N] (09/2009 -> 12/2011) - vehicles with Tuner List OEM radio without display.
- Renault Wind [N] (08/2010 -> 08/2013) - vehicles with Tuner List OEM radio without display.
CAN Bus information
Connectors and interface:
- Connector: 40‑Pin Renault Quadlock.
- Connection for OEM steering wheel control: 3.5 mm jack or open wire.
Settings:
- Set DIP switches according to the aftermarket unit manufacturer (see BDA).
Vehicle compatibility:
- Opel – vehicles with CD30/CD30MP3/CDC40/CD50/CD70 OEM radios.
- Renault – vehicles without the Arkamys DSP OEM amplifier system and without Radiosat Classic OEM HU (contact support).
- Vehicles with TomTom OEM navigation are not supported.
- SWC function works only with the engine running.
- Date/time setting is not supported.
Important additional information
- Compatible with aftermarket head units that have an analog input for steering wheel control (e.g. Sony, Kenwood, JVC, Pioneer, Alpine, Blaupunkt, Clarion, Zenec, etc.).
- To fully activate the adapter, it is necessary to order the brand‑specific connection cable for the head unit.
General installation instructions
Pre‑installation checks:
- Check all steering control functions and vehicle settings with the original OEM head unit installed.
- Disconnect the original radio (OEM HU) with power off.
- Check all interface connections to ensure they are correctly connected, with power off.
Connection and wiring sequence:
- Set and check the hardware configuration of the interface with power off.
- Check the configuration of the head unit connection cable with power off.
- Connect the cable to the head unit according to the aftermarket device manual.
- Connect the remaining wires according to the device manual.
- Connect the entire installation to the vehicle, connect the main power last.
- Perform the software configuration of the interface according to the product description or manual.
- Configure the aftermarket HU (steering wheel control, camera, handsfree, antenna power, etc.).
- Perform a functional test of the steering wheel controls and communication with the vehicle.
Changing the interface configuration and HU cable:
- Make all changes with power off.
- After changes, repeat steps 5 to 8 listed above.
If the interface or vehicle system malfunctions:
- Reinstall the original OEM HU.
- Start the original unit.
- Trigger CAN Bus system shutdown.
- Check the hardware configuration of the interface.
- After CAN Bus shutdown, repeat steps 5 and 6 listed above.
When modifying wiring or cabling:
- Wiring and modifications may only be performed by professionally trained personnel.
- All changes must be verified regarding manufacturer approval or impact on the vehicle warranty before connection.
- All modifications must be verified by measurement and comparison with the vehicle wiring diagram before connection.
- You perform modifications at your own risk; no warranty on functionality is provided.
- Modifications are made at your own risk; there is no guarantee of preventing damage to the vehicle, device, or interface.
- Pre‑fitted cable modifications may result in loss of product warranty.
