Steering wheel button control adapter for Nissan / Opel / Renault ACV SWC 42XVX002-0

Retain the original steering wheel radio control functions when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket unit. Depending on the vehicle equipment, range of functions and the software of the newly installed head unit, some functions may be limited or replaced by others. Compare the displayed wiring connectors with the connectors in your vehicle and make sure they match both technically and visually. Check whether one of the listed OEM head units was originally installed. Before final installation, verify vehicle functionality, system settings and correct operation of the steering wheel control (SWC).

CAN Bus information

Connectors and power:

Connectors: 40-pin Opel Quadlock.
OEM steering wheel control connection: 3.5 mm jack or free wire to the SWC input of the head unit.

Settings:

Set DIP switches according to the aftermarket unit manufacturer (see user manual).

Vehicle compatibility:

Compatible with OEM radios CD30, CD30MP, CDC40, CD50, CD70, DVD90.
Compatible with OEM radios by Blaupunkt, Delphi, Siemens VDO.
Vehicle settings supported.

Special cases and warnings:

For Opel Corsa D vehicles from 2008 use the SWC cable Opel Corsa D 2008–2014 40Pin Quadlock Multilead.
Reimported vehicles or vehicles with different software may have limited functionality.

Important additional information

Compatible with aftermarket head units that have an analog input for steering wheel control.
To fully activate the adapter, it is necessary to order a connecting cable for the specific head unit brand.

General installation instructions

Checks before installation:

Check all steering wheel control functions and vehicle settings with the OEM HU.
Disconnect the original radio (OEM HU) with no power applied.
Check all interface connections – with no power applied.

Connection and wiring sequence:

Set and check the hardware configuration of the interface – with no power applied.
Check the configuration of the connection cable to the head unit – with no power applied.
Connect the cable to the head unit according to the aftermarket device manual.
Connect the remaining wires according to the device manual.
Connect the entire installation to the vehicle — connect the main power connection last.
Perform the software configuration of the interface according to the product description or manual.
Configure the aftermarket head unit (steering wheel control, camera, handsfree, antenna power, etc.).
Perform a functional test of the steering wheel control and communication with the vehicle.

Changing the interface configuration and HU cable:

Make all changes with no power applied.
After changes, repeat steps 5 to 8 listed above.

In case of interface or vehicle system malfunction:

Reinstall the original OEM head unit.
Start the original unit.
Initiate CAN Bus shutdown.
Check the hardware configuration of the interface.
After CAN Bus shutdown, repeat steps 5 and 6 listed above.

When modifying wiring or cable routing:

Wiring and modifications may only be performed by professionally trained personnel.
All changes must be verified in terms of manufacturer approval or impact on the vehicle warranty before connection.
All modifications must be verified by measurement and compared with the vehicle wiring diagram before connection.
