Škoda Yeti - soundproofing of the floor and luggage compartment

Soundproofing of the floor and trunk area of a Škoda Yeti. If you are bothered by noise from the front and rear tires, you have basically two options. The first, cheaper and less effective option is to soundproof the front and rear wheel arches from the outside. A much more effective approach, however, is to soundproof the entire floor and trunk area from the inside. You reach a much larger surface area and at the same time the floor and the trunk floor are the sources of the largest amount of noise in the entire vehicle. We soundproofed both important areas with two layers of top antivibration and acoustic insulation materials from the Russian manufacturer SGM. The result of the soundproofing is a significant reduction of noise not only from the front and rear wheels but also from noise reflected from the road surface.
