Skoda Superb - speaker replacement

Replacement of the factory speakers in a third-generation Škoda Superb. The simplest way to improve the factory audio is to replace the speakers while keeping the factory head unit. For that it’s essential to choose speakers with optimal power handling and high sensitivity so they can be driven by a factory head unit with limited power. Lately we’ve favored component speakers from the Italian manufacturer Audison for such installations, as they meet all these requirements and deliver very high sound quality. Thanks to sensitivity above 92 dB they are suitable both for connection to the radio and to an external amplifier, and they offer high power handling of 115 W RMS. In this case we chose the first option. We installed the mentioned speakers into the front and rear doors and, using cable adapters, utilised the sufficiently robust factory wiring so we didn’t have to modify the vehicle’s electrical system. We sound-deadened all doors with premium Comfortmat materials, which enhances the mid-bass presence and improves their sound.
