Musway MG6.2T Speakers

Musway MG6.2T are reference 26 mm tweeters from the top MG model series, which represents the technological pinnacle of Musway's offering. In the design, maximum emphasis was placed on a linear frequency response, low distortion and the ability to reproduce fine details with high accuracy and naturalness. Thanks to the combination of a silk dome, a neodymium magnetic system and an integrated rear acoustic volume, the MG6.2T are among the most technically sophisticated tweeters in their class.

The basis of the speaker is a 26 mm silk dome mounted in a precisely machined aluminum housing with an integrated coupling volume that lowers the resonance frequency and allows very low crossover points below 2 kHz. At the same time, the tweeter maintains an exceptionally linear character up to beyond 25 kHz and offers a very clean, detailed and spatially accurate reproduction without unpleasant aggressiveness or harshness. Thanks to their compact dimensions and shallow mounting depth, the MG6.2T are suitable for both OEM installations and custom mounts in A-pillars or dashboards. They perform best in high-quality active systems with a DSP processor, where they can fully reveal their tonality, detail and very low distortion.

In a test by Car&Hifi magazine, the MG6.2T model stood out primarily for its exceptionally low distortion, for which it received an outstanding rating of 1+ in the "Verzerrungen" (distortion) discipline. The editors also praised its ability to very precisely mate with the midrange and the overall refined character of the reproduction even at higher volumes.

About the brand

MUSWAY is an abbreviation of the motto "Music is the Way". What is valid is that the manufacturer offers a speaker system with a frequency range of 30 to 20,000 Hz, if he is worried about stating the maximum unevenness of the sound pressure in this range, because he can have a tolerance of, for example, +- 20 dB. The unevenness or undulation of the frequency curve in good speaker systems for high-quality music performance should not exceed +-3 dB in the 80 to 12,000 Hz band and +-6 dB in the 40 to 16,000 Hz band. Greater unevenness already depletes or emphasizes certain tonal areas, which can cause audible or even disturbing distortion.
